New Parents

We look forward to welcoming your family to Wood End School.

Whether your child is starting in our Nursery, Reception classes or as an in-year transfer, this page should provide you with all of the information you need to prepare for their first day.

Below you will find our Welcome Brochure - please read this carefully as it will provide you with lots of important information about our school.

Welcome Brochure

Before your child starts with us, we need to ensure we hold the correct information for your family. Once your child is allocated a place at Wood End School you will receive an email from the school office containing a link to our online Pupil Information Form, which you will need to complete.

Once you have completed the Pupil Information Form you can follow the instructions below to access our ARBOR Parent Portal and update any further information required.

Wrap around care

School Meals

Children in Reception, Year One and Year Two are entitled to a free school meal. Children in Year 3 upwards can still enjoy one of delicious school meals at the cost of £3.25 per meal.

If you do not wish to take up this offer you will need to provide a packed lunch for your child each day. Please note that we are an allergy aware school and have a NO NUT products policy.  

School Milk

Children under 5 years are entitled to free milk in accordance with the DHSS Nursery Milk Scheme. Mid-morning milk is provided free to children under the age of 5 years as a result of the European Community Subsidy and of course is a very healthy attribute to the daily diet. Milk may be purchased for children over 5 if you wish for your child to continue to receive milk at school.
